I’m on hiatus. Please check back in a few weeks months.
Friday’s “truth to power” inspiration
Now is the time for the real conservatives in our Congress to stand up and vote up on H.R. 1207, the Federal Reserve Transparency Act of 2009. Never before have we had such a need to understand what’s really going on at the Fed — and how to bring an end to this economic grand larceny being perpetrated on the American People.
To believe in something, and not to live it, is dishonest.

Lulin is putting on a show tonight
Comet Lulin will offer stargazers a glimpse of the tiny green marvel as it orbits within 38 million miles from Earth, starting tonight. It will be visible in the lower eastern sky, just to the right of Saturn. If you miss tonight, you’ll have a few more opportunities over the next week.
Neo-conservatism: Freethinkers need not apply
Senator Arlen Specter could very well be one of three, total Republicans in Congress willing to concede minority status in our government’s decision-making process. Specter, along with Susan Collins and Olympia Snowe all voted in the affirmative for the amended stimulus package.
Is it any wonder why the neo-conservative philosophy is death spiral when Fox’s Laura Ingraham derides Specter’s independent thought? Was there any point at which Laura was concerned about George Bush’s $700-billion bank bailout? When did we ever hear Ingraham deriding the Bush administration for doubling our nation’s debt over the last eight years? But don’t take my word for it. Just enter a start date of Jan 20, 2001 and Jan 20, 2009 for the end date. This “pot calling the kettle black” stuff is getting old.
By the way, for all of those who see this winter’s abnormal weather anomalies the same way Laura does, think of our ecosystem as a spinning top. Mankind’s recent, environmental interference has disrupted (or gently tapped) the top. As the top loses its equilibrium and begins to wobble, extreme termperatures on both ends of the spectrum will become more and more common until efforts on our part are made to lessen this wobbling. Again, don’t take my word for it. Watch the for extremely hot summer we’re going to have this year, and then tell me “it’s cyclical.”
Friday Funnies: Ever been asked this question in a job interview?
Should one reconsider a job board that asks its members to supply a maximum, desired salary range?
