Is the supreme court above the law?

It angers me each time I hear a supreme court employee say he or she dissents at the idea of cameras in the court room. After all, cameras are abundant in every other facet of government, so why should the supreme court be any different? I’d like to think those “honorable” lawyers are above drama, but after a glimpse of the drama queen hearing the Anna Nichole Smith case, I could be wrong. Nevertheless, under the Constitution, we the people ultimately have the final say in how our government will operate…this includes jurisdiction over ALL government employees, elected or otherwise.

Getting touchy-feely with your computer?

I’m a nut when it comes to cutting-edge technology. This amazing video of a computer that we stand by is clearly something to see. But if you thought repetitive strain was an issue while sitting at your computer, imagine “standing at your computer” for hours on end!

Pelosi’s penchant for pampering

House leader Nancy Pelosi is catching an awful lot of flack for what sounds like a MAC filght, a service available to all active duty military employees. I would imagine that riding on one of these flights is considerably less expensive than otherwise providing government employees with private air travel vouchers. But our public servants on Capitol Hill should be concentrating on more important issues, such as Iraq.

What’s in a name?

I can’t help but comment on the overzealous nature of individuals who choose to label everyone and everything. Case in point, Barack Obama. Is the outrage warranted from blacks who contend that Obama cannot call himself black because he’s not descended from slaves? I thought this whole notion of “african-american” denoted color alone? When it comes down do it, aren’t we all mutts?
