Ubuntu: bravo to alpha4!

Despite my reservations about the expected rigamarole required to establish a wifi network, as has been the case for the last several releases, I’m proud to say that the Intrepid Ibex is ready for the curious - and without any manual wifi configuration!
The tray icon for UFW is a nice addition, too.

Finally! A wireless solution that works!

After months of trial and error attempting to get my wireless service to work in Ubuntu, I finally found a solution that worked! Bravo!
P.S. I recommend rebooting the machine manually, after running “sudo /etc/init.d/dbus restart” to initiate the network manager.

Pooh-pooh on Ubuntu

As much love as I have, and as much as I’d love to give, my open-source heros at Ubuntu have failed to come up with a successful wireless solution for me.  Inasmuch as I love you guys, I’m stuck on Vista…talk about trippin ;D  I hope you guys fix this problem soon…
